2000 Watt Exhibit

It started in 2008 in Zurich, Switzerland after referendum aimed at reducing energy consumption passed with overwhelming support.  The referedum asked the public to reach for a lofty, yet challenging, goal: to reduce energy consumption from 6500 watts to 2000 watts per person by the year 2050.  After it passed, the Swiss got down to business. They designed new zero energy and energy plus buildings, refusing to hold the view that going green was just an "option."  The exhibit explores the way in which Zurich has progressed and inspires others to follow in the green city's footsteps.
