Acadia Cafe is open in its new Cedar-Riverside location (the former location of the New Riverside Cafe). The rumored leasing disagreements at what started as a modest coffee shop on Franklin and Nicollet turned out to be a blessing in disguise, creating the opportunity to open up shop in a fabulous, eclectic neighborhood with a full kitchen and liquor license. The new format is more pubby watering hole, still offering original live music, and serving hand-breaded Wisconsin cheese curds, burgers and more. Acadia offers 70+ specialty beers on tap and in the bottle-including slections from every Twin Cities label and annual tasting events like Christmas in Belgium. Oh and the weeknight beer specials, like Thursday's highlight on local beers: $1 off taps and $4 off pitchers of Twin Cities brews. Available brews span the Old New World from our very own Surly to Belgian and German imports. But don't worry, your favorite black bean veggie burger isn't going anywhere!
