Uptown Pride Block Party

With all the festivities going on all around the Twin Cities, Pride Week will definitely be grabbing your attention from every direction. Besides sweet parades, drag shows and fun festivities in Loring Park, Uptown’s Bryant-Lake Bowl will be hosting the 5th Annual Uptown Pride Block Party. The evening will feature music from likes of Tina Schlieske, Dykes Do Drag, Black Blondie, Lil Miss Sweettooth and the Daisy Dukes and Sick of Sarah.

Besides a healthy dose of musical talents the block party will also feature the instantly recognizable North Star Rollergirls. Though these girls on roller skates are brutal on the roller rink, out in the open they are all peace loving and tree hugging. No worries here, the event will feature a plethora of organic foods and beverages. On top of that, the event is touting itself as a “zero waste event.” Righteous.
