WORK AT METRO
METRO Magazine is currently not hiring for any positions.
INTERN AT METRO
We are currently looking for web, video and editorial interns.
Interested in being an intern at a growing publishing company? Looking for experience that’ll get you started in publishing? Join us at Tiger Oak Publications, where we create an exciting monthly consumer magazine: METRO.
We are searching for interns who’d like to work alongside experienced editors, writers and designers, and who are eager to learn about the magazine industry and apply their editing and writing skills. The work is office-based with 20–25 flexible hours a week. In return for your hard work, you’ll gain solid magazine publishing and writing experience, a chance to add clips to your portfolio, a semester-based stipend, plus a reference to help you with your job search once you’ve graduated.
To apply for an editorial internship, please send a cover letter, resume and three writing samples to Chris Clayton, senior editor, at Tiger Oak Publications, 900 S. 3rd St., Minneapolis, MN 55415, or via e-mail.
Web interns get hands on experience with the daily workings of our website. Typically web interns produce daily events listings (Daily Filter and events calendar), features and multimedia photo slideshows. In addition they would get valuable time with a professional content management system. Video interns will produce and/or edit one to two videos per week.
If you fit one (or both) of these positions, e-mail a cover letter, resume and writing/video/multimedia samples to METRO Web Editor Scottie B. Tuska at scottie.tuska@metromag.com.
METRO Magazine is currently not seeking design interns.
We accept applications for our summer, fall and winter / spring internships on an ongoing basis. Please indicate which semester you're interested in with your application materials.
