The
Minnesota Landscape Arboretum is launching its 2009 horticulture class series for gardeners of all levels. An evergreen-pruning workshop (June 6; $35–45) kicks off the series, which wraps up November 19 with a focus on winter landscaping and planting specialty containers ($40–50). Other workshops include rain gardens, growing orchids and an herb symposium. Head to the website for full class details and registration info.
The arboretum also recently announced that, effective June 1, it will raise its gate fees—from $7 to $9 for adults (children up to age 15 still get in free)—for the first time since 2003.
