Osseo School District Superintendent to Retire
Goodbyes are never easy, but I want to say thank you to Osseo School District 279 Superintendent Susan Hintz for her nine years serving our local schools.
Hintz will retire on June 30, 2010 after four years as superintendent. The announcement was made at a school board meeting on January 12. Hintz, who was the district’s first female superintendent, said she made the decision because her husband is working as a superintendent in another state, and they decided it was time for her to retire.
Hintz joined the Osseo School District as assistant superintendent of leadership, teaching and learning in June 2001, and became interim superintendent in February 2006 after the resignation of John O’Sullivan. She was unanimously named superintendent in June 2006.
No plans for replacing Hintz have yet been announced.
Hintz made a vast impact on Osseo Area Schools and made many friends in her time here. The best of luck to you, Susan, on your future ventures!
