The man who best represents the Twin Cities from the perspectives of community involvement, personality, intelligence and fitness will be named ONE MAN MINNEAPOLIS.
As you may remember, Maple Grove’s own Lee Salz was one of 20 semifinalists in the inaugural event in 2009 (read more in Maple Grove Magazine’s October feature at www.metromag.com/0p174a3516/one-man-mpls-runnerup-tells-all/). However, Mark Klukow, a Minneapolis Police officer and Peace Foundation board member, was chosen by the audience and a panel of seven judges at the Pantages Theatre on July 18 as 2009 ONE MAN MINNEAPOLIS.
“Participating in ONE MAN MINNEAPOLIS was an experience that allowed me to meet other Twin Cities men who share a similar passion to mine – a love for the Twin Cities and continued involvement with the community through the support of local charities,” Klukow said. “We were able to spotlight our charities through an online profile, media interviews and a series of happy hour events where we got to socialize with hundreds of Twin Citians.”
