You can't replace a life, and it's particularly devestating to family and friends when that life would be so easily saved with a simple click. This is the message of Plymouth's Matt Ferro, a Wayzata High School senior who won the Minnesota Department of Public Safety's TV commercial contest to raise awareness regarding this topic of new legislation and a hot-button every Memorial through Labor Day: Buckling up.
Brian's commercial, from what I can tell based on what I found at
www.RocktheBelt.org where the finalists are listed along with their videos, is technically excellent while also a conveyance of a clear, succinct message about the value of seat belt use. This is particularly important for someone who plans to pursue broadcasting and film at Emerson College in Boston this fall.
Congrats to you, Matt, on your graduation, college acceptance and a fine bullet point for your resume heading into film school.
Editor's Note: Matt and his commercial will be recognized by Plymouth City Council at tomorrow night's meeting.
