New Land of Milk and Honey @ The Soap Factory

The Soap Factory presents New Land of Milk and Honey, a new project by local artists Brett Smith, Erin Smith, and Annie Larson. The exhibit is at once an experiment in communal living, an investigation into the history of Midwestern communes, and an embrace of collaborative artmaking. New Land of Milk and Honey brings together performance, fashion, design, and visual art in a low-brow Gesamtkunstwerk, located at the heart of The Soap Factory. In this communal, technicolor installation irony is eschewed through the optimistic insistence that we are the arbiters of our own happiness.
