Is this how you typically dress?
Breezy: Yeah. Even if I go to the grocery store, I don’t try to be dressed up, but we’re the image that people know—Coco and Breezy always being together and having unique style.
Coco: I can’t get caught slipping without my style.
How long have you been dressing like this?
Breezy: We started off as Abercrombie-Hollister girls in like seventh grade, but we always added a twist to it. Then we started to get more and more different in probably eighth, ninth grade.
Coco: We discovered accessories. Those are our main priority. You know how in middle school people don’t really change their style very much? They didn’t understand our style. It was what was in the magazines, but they were more into what everybody else was wearing.
That’s interesting, because usually at a younger age you’re more conscious of what other people think.
Breezy: I think it’s because we have each other. It’s not just one of us walking around looking really unique. It’s both of us.
Are you similar in personality too?
Coco: Super similar. We’re always together.
Breezy: We’ve been separated in our life less than 10 times.
How old are you?
Both: 18.
It looks like you alter some of your clothes.
Breezy: When we shop, we don’t look at sizes. If I like it, I grab it. We end up redesigning it anyways.
Coco: We don’t want anybody to look like us, so even if it’s like adding more of an embellishment, it’s something looking different.
What do you want to do when you grow up?
Coco: We want to see what we can do here first, and then our plans are to go to either LA or New York.
Coco: We eventually want to go to school for fashion.
Where do you shop?
Coco: We love vintage shops, for sure.
Breezy: Forever 21, online shopping. If we do buy anything from stores like Charlotte Russe, we never wear it regular, we always redesign.
What do your parents think of the way you dress?
Breezy: My mom likes that we’re being unique, but sometimes she’ll tell me, “Oh, do you have to wear that to the grocery store?”
Coco: Dad thinks that we’re so adorable. +

They also spruced up the ’80s boombox with paint and beads.
