Elvis, Judas Priest and the Holy Land
By Scottie B. Tuska

How exactly did this happen? Day one: Staind. Day two: Judas Priest. and Whitesnake. Day three: Elvis Costello & the Imposters. Day four: Bret Michaels Rock of Love Bus Tour. This bizarre lineup will cap off each night of the newest incarnation of Taste of Minnesota. The four day event is free if you arrive before 3 p.m. and $10 after. But, that’s not all. The $10 ticket will get you $10 in food. How convenient?

If you’re wondering what you might be tasting at the Taste of Minnesota, you’re in luck. Schell Brewing and their delightful line of craft brews and Grain Belt mainstays have replaced the water (i.e. Budweiser) served in the past. Taste tradition, Funnel Cake Factory, will continue to be the go to place for fairgoers sweet tooth, though a bunch of new vendors are on board. Most notably, Minneapolis mainstay Holy Land and mega-chain Buffalo Wild Wings are now a part of the offering.

Once you’ve decided between a Schell’s Stout with a gyro or a Grain Belt with chicken wings, you only have to decide which day to go. I’m betting on Elvis.
