Last winter, a cavalcade of residents, photographers, videographers and Red Bull girls found themselves waddle-sliding wide-legged back and forth across the ice of Powers Lake, cameras (and cans) in hand, bundled in extra-down (and extra poofy) parkas, gloves, hats, scarves and hand-warmers, all to witness (and document) the first-ever Red Bull Open Ice pond hockey event—right here in Plymouth!

This month, the pick-up hockey games return to our city and surrounding communities—and expand to communities in Michigan and Illinois—in an effort to get us hardy Minnesotans outdoors for a little healthy competition, and perhaps a can of Red Bull or two. redbullopenice.com
