Welcoming a new baby into a family is an exciting yet challenging time for parents. Not only do new moms and dads have to traverse the road of parenthood, filled with detours, mishaps and potholes aplenty, but they also have to grapple with the lifestyle changes that come with being a parent. That’s why Taiha Wagner and Maura Steblay created the Eden Prairie-based Mom on the Go Network.

Founded in 2004 by Wagner, the network was originally created to provide local wellness and enrichment programming to new mothers, in the form of fitness classes, mother’s meditation groups and home-life workshops.

“That did well for about two years, but as time went by I noticed a new trend,” says Wagner. “The rat race had snuck out of the office and into the kitchen.” Before long, workshop attendance was faltering due to an emerging new lifestyle—the over-scheduled family. “That’s when we made the jump to Web programming and I brought my dear friend, Maura Steblay to co-host with me.”

In 2006 Steblay joined and a co-host, and the two introduced Mom On the Go Radio, a bi-monthly Webcast that can be enjoyed whenever and wherever busy moms like. “We brought all those fun moms into the studio (a.k.a. “The Mom Cave”) who were teaching classes with us on topics such as home décor, nutrition and living green, andwe  asked them to put a little something special together for our listeners,” Wagner explains. “Mom on the Go now focuses on providing Web-based edutainment for mothers around the globe.”

That Taiha is one amazing woman! I've attended her marketing and training events. She is the quintessential 'Mom On The Go'. Great positive energy, practical uber healthy approach to living and damn smart. When is her Webcast going to get the well deserved national attention it deserves? You go Girl!
