St. Paul Summer Beer Festival
By John Paul Burgess 6/25/09 6:38 PM

Here’s the thing about “unlimited beer samples:” at a certain point, they add up to equal an adult-size beverage and then some. In fact, the notion itself is somewhat amusing--kinda like if I was offering you a dollar bill, but as many as you wanted. Of course, we’re not proposing you drink a million beer samples this Sunday at the inaugural St. Paul Summer Beer Festival, we just want you to know that it’s an option (paramedics will be on hand).

$25 dollars gets you in the door (to the Midway Stadium parking lot), commemorative glass in hand. From there, take your pick of well over 40 different brews, local and otherwise as small samples are divied out without limit.

Then, soak up some live music from the likes of local favorites The Como Ave. Jug Band, The Mason Dixons, the Jack Brass Band and others while enjoying all the culinary delights a semi-professional baseball stadium can offer. Oh, and spot your buddy the $8 designated driver admission price; it's the least you can do, considering you'll probably later bail on the car shampooing toll this weekend will incur.

$8 for designated drivers
