Though
Chuck U’s childhood dream of drawing Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for a living hasn’t come to fruition, his newest show, Robozoology, illustrates that he hasn’t lost his knack for child-like wonderment. Over the past decade or so, his work has been making heads wag with his delightfully playful concert posters and album artwork. His current show, at
Nicademus Art and Framing, plays off the organic-cum-mutant cityscape-cum-Sgt. Pepper style that Chuck recently produced for the
Minnesota Beatle Project. Many of his works seem to start with one single idea and mutate into a trippy kaleidoscope of mutant nature and manmade machines. Nicademus is also currently having a custom framing and ready-made frame sale. This is the perfect opportunity to frame all of those concert posters and prints by Chuck U and his local printmaking cohorts.
