Let’s get this out the way first. “Stacy’s Mom” was huge and for good reasons. It was catchy as hell and the video probably got every pubescent male to keep his eyes locked on the boob tube for a few minutes. So, if you hate that song you’ve probably never given the Fountains of Wayne a chance. That’s a shame.
The power pop icons are currently cutting their way through the Midwest as a part of an acoustic tour. That’s definitely a departure for a band that is a pretty standard two guitars, bass and drum combo. Any band that his built a following like theirs over a 14-year period. They’re sure to blaze through some deep cuts and play a few songs from their great new album Traffic and Weather. You may even get a chance to sing along to that one song.
